This wonderful project was launched at the end of February in collaboration with the municipality of Messimy-sur-Saône, the National Forestry Office (ONF), and the Department of Ain.
The municipality, keen to preserve the environment and biodiversity of its territory, is now implementing projects to restore hedgerows across the municipal area in collaboration with the ONF. As part of our CSR approach, it was important for us to support this project. Thanks to our support and that of the Department of Ain, 550 meters of hedges and a forest plot promoting biodiversity will be replanted. No fewer than 1,082 trees will be planted, with species chosen for their hardiness and adaptability to climate change. This project plays an important role in the ecosystem: it provides habitat for wildlife, a source of food, a passageway for wildlife between the Saône River and the woods, but also protects the soil, combats erosion, protects water resources, produces wood, enhances the landscape, and more. It can also serve as an educational project to raise awareness among residents and students about the importance of protecting the environment.
